New Restaurant Round-Up

It's been a particularly busy season for restaurants and eateries opening in Jersey City so it's easy to have missed a couple along the way. To help make it easier, here's a round-up of everything that's opened recently.

Frankie - An Australian-inspired restaurant and bar, specializing in natural wines that opened in mid-October. Located at 264 Grove Street, Frankie is open from 5pm onwards Tuesday through Sunday.

Uncle Momo - The Montclair-based Lebanese restaurant recently opened their second outpost here in Jersey City at 289 Grove Street, offering lunch and dinner daily along with brunch on the weekends.

Low Fidelity - Low Fidelity opened at 328 Palisade Ave in mid-August, but took some time with the soft opening and getting acclimated to the space. They're now serving Detroit-style pizza along with other apps and side dishes as well as their excellent cocktails, wine, and beer.

Piggyback Bar - An offshoot of Pig and Khao in the city, Piggyback Bar opened at Harborside, 200 Hudson Street, several weeks ago and recently started opening for brunch and dinner on the weekends as well as during the week.

Juice Basin - This Asbury Park-based juice shop focuses on fresh cold-pressed juices and healthy snacks. They offer a wide range of vegan and gluten-free options making it an ideal stop for someone with dietary restrictions as well as anyone just into some fresh juice. They're located at 336 Second Street.

Pasta e Vino - replacing Raval at 136 Newark Ave, Pasta e Vino is the new Italian concept with an extensive pasta list from the same owners.

Hudson Hall - Hudson Hall is a European-style beer hall and smokehouse at 364 Marin, serving a variety of domestic and imported beer (as part of their full bar), smoked meats, cheeses, seafood and pickled and fermented sides.

Bang Cookies - Bang Cookies just opened their renovated storefront at 1183 Summit Ave this past weekend and they have extended hours for those evening cookie cravings.

Corgi Spirits - Corgi Spirits, 1 Distillery Drive, is Jersey City's first distillery. They have a tasting room onsite offering the chance to try their specialty small-batch spirits and carefully crafted cocktails.  They held a small soft opening over last weekend and officially opened to the public on 11/1.

Froth on Franklin - Another newcomer to the Heights, Froth on Franklin opened at 85 Franklin Street just last week. It has a spacious coffeehouse vibe, locally roasted Kobrick coffee, and plenty of pastries and snacks to keep you satisfied.

Stay tuned for more updates on what's coming soon to Jersey City!
