Community News: Dark Side of the Moo Celebrates 2 Years, Choc O Pain offers classes, and more

Jersey City


  • Last weekend, Cool Vines launched their second collaboration with Transmitter brewing, CV2 - a bottle conditioned saison aged for a year and then conditioned on top of bluberries. They'll only have 348 bottles available for sale. 
  • New Caribbean-inspired restaurant Harry's Daughter has opened in the former Nu Bar space at 339 Communipaw. They're still in the soft open phase, but expect to be open permanently soon. 
  • Dark Side of the Moo is celebrating their second anniversary on Saturday, 11/25 with $2 deluxe cheeseburgers and veggie burgers and $2 off any game burgers or the alligator sausage sandwich. 
  • The OAK on Pine is celebrating their official opening on 11/28 and they will soon be accepting reservations on their website. 
  • Milk Sugar Love will be holding their annual pint sale this Wednesday and Friday - anything prepacked will be 2 for $18. 
  • Third & Vine has started accepting orders for Jamie's special brittle for the holidays. \
  • Choc O Pain will be offering baking classes on macarons, croissants, and bread beginning in December. 
  • O'Lala Empanadas has started taking preorders for their famous holiday coquito, which is an egg-based drink similar to eggnot but with more Puerto Rican family. 
Outside Jersey City
  • Bucket & Bay has launched a new latte bar in their Hoboken space at 153 1st Street. They'll have a wide variety of lattes made with grass-fed milk available.
