La Festa Italiana 2017 is Here
La Festa Italiana kicks off today! The annual street festival hosted by Holy Rosary Church will run through Sunday 8/13, giving you plenty of time to enjoy all the rice balls, zeppole, and wine & peaches you can handle.
The family-friendly festival started in 1906 and has become a beloved neighborhood tradition, offering not only traditional Italian favorites, but live music, 50/50 raffles, games, prizes, and an ever-increasing roster of great food.
Delenio's will be there with pasta, meatball and eggplant sliders, and more. Callahan's Hot Dogs are joining in as a vendor this year with their delicious and topping friendly hot dogs. New vegan vendor VEGBAR Juice & Grub will help balance the often-meat heavy options. There's also wood-fired pizzas, street fair favorites like arepas, roasted corn, sausage and peppers, and so much more including the do-not-miss homemade and freshly-fried arancini and and zeppole. People line up for these every year for good reason. White Star will be on hand to provide craft beers and specialty drinks to the 21+ crowd along with the way-too-drinkable and slightly dangerous wine and peaches and limoncello made by the congregation.
Don't miss this great neighborhood tradition. It will run from 5pm-11pm today through Friday and then from 3pm-11pm Saturday and Sunday at 344 6th Street.
