Community News: Pasta Dal Cuore Wine Dinner, Zeppelin Hall Tulum Menu, and more

Jersey City


  • Join Pasta Dal Cuore and Jersey Wine & Spirits for their new collaboration, Bella d'Estate Summer Wine Dinner, a seasonal five course dinner featuring seafood and paired wines from Jersey Wine & Spirits and Sicilian winery Firriato. The dinner will be next Tuesday, 8/7. 
  • Zeppelin Hall is offering a special menu from now through August 19th, featuring cuisine from Tulum, Mexico. Dishes include fried oyster tacos, moljacates for two, and more. This is the first menu in a series, exploring cities and dishes from around the world. 
  • Sweetberry Bowls has announced they're bringing new fruit-based dessert bowls to the menu. No official date for the menu expansion has been announced, but they are planning to launch very soon. 
  • This Thursday, Third & Vine is hosting a Prohibition-themed evening featuring cocktails and lingerie from the 20s. If you come dressed in era-appropriate clothing, you can even win a prize. It will run from 5pm to midnight. 
  • Darke Pines will be closed this Tuesday, 7/31 and Wednesday, 8/1. 
  • WHOS Gluten-Free will be closed during the month of August. They'll be fulfilling their wholesale orders, but the actual location will be closed for service. 
  • Piggyback is now carrying the Impossible Burger on their menu permanently. The Impossible Burger is a meat-free, plant-based patty that looks like a typical beef burger. 
  • The Annual Peach Pie contest at Riverview Market is coming up this Sunday! Open to all amatuer bakers, the winner of this contest will go on to compete state-wide for prize money. 


Outside Jersey City

  • Hidden Grounds is now open in Hoboken. Located at 700 Garden Street, on the corner of 7th and Garden, the new location has been undergoing renovations for the past several months and officially opened their doors last Friday. 
  • Via Boozy Burbs, Brownstone Pancake Factory is expanding to Englewood Cliffs. There is currently a location in Edgewater along with the original Brownstone Diner here in Jersey City. The new location will have a liquor license and full bar and they anticipate opening this fall.
