Weekend Round-Up: Torico Celebrates 50 Years, Marketplace JC, and More


Happy Post-4th of July Weekend, Jersey City! While some addition rest & recovery might be in order, there's plenty going on in town so don't miss out. Also, don't forget, this weekend marks the start of the PATH closures so be prepared. 

Here's your round-up of what's happening this weekend:


Departed Soles, 7/6
Departed Soles is releasing a new beer, Powerhouse Pale Ale 3.0, a non-gf farmhouse pale ale. The tasting room will open at 4pm this Friday, 7/6 and they'll have it available all weekend long.

Marketplace JC, 7/7
It's Multi-Cultural Day at Marketplace JC, 136 Magnolia Ave. Running from noon-5pm, the Marketplace is celebrating the diversity of the city with live music courtesy of Riverview Jazz and vendors selling food and hand-crafted and vintage goods from cultures all over the world.

Torico, 7/8
Congratulations to Torico on celebrating 50 years in business in Jersey City! To help one of longest-running and most delicious family-run small businesses in town celebrate, join them this Sunday from 12-4pm as they host a party for the community, offering free samples, music, prizes and more!

It's All Love Charity BBQ at Caven Point, 7/8
Head to Caven Point Park at 1 Chapel Ave for the 5th Annual It's All Love Charity BBQ, raising funds for America Needs You, a program that helps first generation college students pay for school, find jobs, and offers mentorship opportunities. There will be a DJ, artist performances, games, raffles, and a lot of great barbecue all throughout the day. The event runs from noon-9pm and tickets are currently $30/person. 

Farmer's Market at Lincoln Park, 7/8
The Farmer's Market at Lincoln Park launched their season two weeks ago, and this Sunday, they have free yoga, an all-organic farm and more. The market runs from 10am-3pm.
