Van Hook Outpost Coming Soon

Van Hook Cheese is opening a second shop, aptly named Van Hook Outpost, near Hamilton Park later this summer.

Van Hook Outpost will be a small sandwich shop located at 232.5 Pavonia Ave next to Madame Claude Wines. The menu will feature Van Hook's delicious grilled cheese sandwiches, a selection of cold sandwiches and a small core collection of cheeses like fresh mozzarella, Prairie Breeze Cheddar, and parmigiano reggiano.

The grilled cheese sandwiches from Van Hook go far beyond your standard bread and cheese. Made on thick slices of sourdough Pullman bread, the sandwiches feature higher-end cheeses paired with meats or sweet and savory elements like the smoked duck with raclette and sour cherry preserves or the grilled cheddar with fig jam. The new shop will offer some of the current rotating favorites as well as some new additions.

Outdoor seating will be available and with Madame Claude Wines next door, it will be the perfect environment for a casual BYOB meal outdoors.

Right now, Van Hook Outpost is scheduled to open this August but stay tuned for more details.
