The Jersey City West Side Chili Cook Off is almost here and chili entries are now being accepted!
The competition is open to anyone who wishes to enter and all different styles of chili are accepted. Last year's event drew over 300 people and there were twenty different entries offering everything from vegan chili to a chocolate based chili. Some of the competitors brought extras like cheese and cornbread for their chili while others decorated their tables, making it a really fun and delicious event.
Sponsored by the West Side Community Alliance and the Farmers Market at Lincoln Park, the Chili Cook Off will be held on Sunday, 10/2 from 12pm-2pm. To compete, you must register by 9/23. All entries will be put into two competitions - a Judges' choice and a People's Choice with winners announced around 2pm the day of the cook off. For more info,
