Project Eats 2017 Meet the Vendor: Talde

The Jersey City Project's Project Eats 2017 is back on 6/24 and 6/25 with new vendors and returning favorites, all ready to serve up some delicious, indulgent eats. To help get you ready, I'm excited to be collaborating with The Jersey City Project to spotlight some of the vendors from this year's Project Eats, learning more about their business, their food, and what they love about Jersey City.

Meet Talde, one of the biggest names in downtown Jersey City dining who will be bringing some of their most mobile eats to the event.

What's been unique about having a location of Talde in Jersey City and being part of the community here?
For me, it's the space that we have here. We can do weddings upstairs in the dining room while having a DJ dance party right downstairs in Miss Wong's. There is just so much range to create a one-of-a-kind experience for our guests. The Jersey City community is always supportive of each other. We all go to each other's events and restaurants because we love seeing this city succeed.

What goes into the decision-making process for the menu for the event?
Executive Chef Ruby Felix-Curtis and I sit down and chat about what we can offer - something that highlights the great flavors that we have on our dining menu but that guests can easily pick up and eat along the route of the event.

What is Talde excited about in being part of Project: Eats?
We are excited to see all the familiar faces who visit Talde often but also meeting new guests and introducing them to our menu! Personally, I'm excited to get my grub on all the way down Newark Ave.

Do you have a personal favorite on the menu?
Man, this is such a tough question so I have to share my top three: Yuzu Guacamole, Korean Fried Chicken, and the Blue Crab Fried Rice. Oh, and Halo Halo for dessert!

Thank you to Talde and make sure to check them out this weekend at Project Eats!
